Our molded HLC grating is available in 4′ x 6′ panels with 1.5″ and 2″ thicknesses and comes in Polyester and Vinyl ester resin systems. HLC grating  has many advantages over steel grating for performance and cost effectiveness. With a much higher strength-to-weight ratio, molded HLC fiberglass grating is easy to handle, making for quick installation.

Molded Grating Resin Systems

National Grating Fiberglass Trench and Drain Grates are available in two standard resin systems. Each providing different levels of corrosion protection. Both resin systems meet Class 1 Flame Spread Rating per ASTM E-84 test standards.

Polyester: A premium-grade isophthalic polyester resin system that provides excellent corrosion protection. Standard colors: Dark Gray, Light Gray, Yellow, and Green. Equivalent to Fiberglass Grating Competitor Brand and Strongwell Duragrate PP.

Vinyl ester: A chemically resistant system that provides the highest level of corrosion protection. Standard colors: Yellow, Dark Gray, and Orange. Equivalent to Fiberglass Grating Vinyl Ester and Strongwell Duragrate VE.

National Grating fiberglass Square mesh panels are ideal for decking, walkway, and flooring applications in corrosive environments.

1.5″ Square Mesh Grating is the long-lasting solution for rugged applications. Steel and aluminum grating have considerable down-sides; they corrode, wear down quickly, cause maintenance headaches and downtimes, and are costly to install.

National Grating high-strength molded FRP grating can be designed and used like traditional metal grates, but with all the many benefits of fiberglass. 1-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ Square FRP grating is especially useful for replacing steel grating or aluminum grating in corrosive environments or where other types of gratings require frequent replacements. Resin Systems
National Grating Molded Fiberglass is available in two standard resin systems. Each providing different levels of corrosion protection. Both resin systems meet Class 1 Flame Spread Rating per ASTM E-84 test standards.

Polyester: A premium-grade isophthalic polyester resin system that provides excellent corrosion protection. Standard colors: Dark Gray, Light Gray, Yellow, and Green

Vinyl ester: A chemically resistant system that provides the highest level of corrosion protection. Standard colors: Yellow, Dark Gray, and Orange

Molded FRP Mesh is available in 1″, 1-1/2″ and 2″ thick Panels.

Standard Panel sizes are 3′ x 10′,  4′ x 8′, 4′ x 12′ and 5′ x 10′.

We can cut down the panels to any size you like, or you can cut them yourself. Be sure to use a diamond-tip blade as a standard saw blade will dull very quickly.

Reaching three levels underground, the 800,000-square-foot World Trade Center transportation hub will link the PATH trains with Hudson River ferries to New Jersey, and 11 city subway lines. Hundreds of workers are busy around the clock building the nearly $4 billion steel-concrete-and-glass structure, set to open in 2015.

Through New York based Broad Construction National Grating supplied FRP structural shapes used in building the Transportation Hub.

Currently under construction are the two wing-like sections forming the East-West Connector, to be separated by a special feature: a skylight that will open like a huge eye.. On each Sept. 11, this “oculus” will be aligned so direct sunlight will shine through the glass at 10:28 a.m.—the time when the second tower collapsed in 2001, according to the article.

Towering over the hub is One World Trade Center, the centerpiece of the rebuilt 16-acre trade center site. And right above the complex lies the 9/11 Memorial plaza with its reflecting pools.
